Dan Yonker is the contracted bookkeeper for Black Parent Initiative. Dan supports the organization by proactively ensuring the fiscal health of BPI. This includes: preparation of monthly statements, tracking and recording of all transactions, budget analysis and maintenance, and coordination of annual audit and tax preparation. Dan spent 12 years as the Director of Finance and Operations at Basic Rights Oregon (BRO). He was one of the first employees at BRO and oversaw the growth of the budget and staff from $300,000 and 4 employees to $3 million dollars and 25 employees. He currently owns his own bookkeeping consulting firm and works with several non-profits and small businesses across the Portland, Oregon area. Dan lives in Portland with his spouse, Mike. He loves to work on his home and garden, lovingly referred to as “Greeley Gardens,” going to the gym and biking around town.
