Home Visiting Specialist

Tyshun, one of BPI’s Home Visitors, currently works with families, supporting them in a number of ways. This includes children reaching their developmental milestones and supporting their physical, mental, and emotional growth.
The most rewarding parts of her job are sharing in the successes of the families we serve. As they learn and apply new parenting skills, the children flourish and develop confidence, as they master the developmental milestones. As the parents set and reach their short term and long-term goals,
supporting them, as they navigate through life’s challenges has been an inspiration to her.
Tyshun’s prior work history during the past 24 years has revolved around children and families. It began with serving as an Assistant Teacher in first and second grades at John Ball Elementary School. From there, the next 16 years would be spent at Albina Early Head Start, serving in a variety of positions. These included Assistant Teacher, Teacher, and Home Base Home Visitor.
