Asia Rubio is a community-based International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) dedicated to supporting families with compassionate, culturally responsive care. Inspired by her own feeding journey, she entered the lactation field to ensure that parents have access to skilled, affirming support as they navigate their own. Her work centers on building trusting relationships with families, helping them meet their feeding goals, and ensuring they feel seen and supported throughout their journey.

 

Asia earned her Bachelor of Health Sciences from Portland State University and her Master of Public Health from Eastern Washington University. As a lactation consultant, she mentors aspiring lactation consultants and is committed to expanding access to skilled lactation support in Black and underserved communities.

 

As Lead Lactation Consultant, Asia provides direct care to families while also supporting program development, mentoring lactation professionals, and fostering partnerships that build stronger systems of support for parents and babies. She uplifts Black voices in the lactation field, creates spaces where families feel empowered and connected, and works to strengthen community systems of care.
