Nadim Cross serves as the Sawubona Parent Engagement & Advocacy Manager at Black Parent Initiative. Born and raised in Portland, Nadim has dedicated much of his career to serving the local community through mentoring, family support, and advocacy.

As a proud father of five, Nadim brings both professional experience and a personal commitment to uplifting Black children and families. He is passionate about ensuring parents feel heard, supported, and empowered to advocate for their children’s education, well-being, and success.

Nadim was drawn to BPI by the opportunity to continue strengthening and empowering the community while helping families build the confidence, knowledge, and support needed to advocate for themselves and their children. Through his work with the Sawubona program, he is committed to creating meaningful connections with families and helping parents recognize the power of their voices.
