Lolenzo T. Poe, Jr., was appointed Senior Policy Advisor to newly elected Multnomah County Chair Ted Wheeler in January, 2007. Prior to this position, Mr. Poe was Director of Multnomah County Department of Schools and Community Partnerships (DSCP). He managed programs and services aimed at individuals, children and families in partnership with public schools, local governments, businesses, non-profit service providers, foundations and community members. His school services alignment team has been focused on implementing the SUN Service System, the delivery system established by the County’s School-Age Policy Framework. Mr. Poe also served eight years as Director of Multnomah County’s Community & Family Services Department. Through diligent public service and community involvement, Lolenzo was elected to the Portland Public Schools Board of Education in 2001, where he served four years.
